The Staff

Without these folks, we wouldn't be racing bikes. If you happen to have any questions, comments, suggestions or would just like to give them a pat on the back, here is who is running the show and here's where to find them.

ALL THINGS RACE

Keith Darner is your go-to man at all of our events. If you have any questions pertaining to announcements, officials, race protests, receiving your prize money, the tech expo, race courses, this is your guy. You just might have to fight off five little Jack Russels to get his attention. Keith may also be found cruising around on his DH bike or working the pump track. If you need some tips on how to pin a turn or get out of the start gate for your first time, he's got over 25 years of experience in the mountain bike racing world to help you out. You'll find Keith everywhere. Just look for the hat.

REGISTRATION

A lot goes on behind the scenes of the racing, the courses, the officials, and none of this would happen without the hard work and late nights of the registration gals. The registration is tag-teamed by Grace and Kim. They take care of getting riders registered, organized and outfitted with number plates, t-shirts and awards from the dawning hours of the morning through late hours of the night. Do they ever get a break? Not really. If you have questions with registration, awards, prize money, merchandise or event schedule, you'll find them at reg headquarters.

OPERATIONS

Matt Sutton knows how to build one heck of a downhill course, a dual slalom course, a mountain cross, a short track course, a super d course, even a cross country course. Matt is head of operations at all MSC events and in charge of making sure we have the best mountain bike race courses out there and that everything is constructed and set-up flawlessly. If you have any questions or suggestions on courses and course markings, let him know! You'll find Matt out on the courses.

P.R./MARKETING

Sarah takes care of pulling all the little pieces together before and after each event. She makes sure the website gets updated, emails are sent, sponsors are involved, phone calls get returned, t-shirts get printed, awards arrive at the events and in general, makes sures things happen, and on time. But come race day, she's racing. Find her post-race and she'll be more than happy to answer any questions whatsoever and make sure you'll get taken care of by the right person. She is best available during the week at the MSC contact phone number, and is always willing to listen.

WEBSITE/DESIGN

Evan is our design and IT guru with the website and forum, so if you see a missing link to an image or the message boards go down, let him know so we can get it back up and running. Aside from web stuff, Evan works the digital magic on ads, posters, number plates, and anything else with a graphic on it. That MSC series shirt you're wearing? Yeah, he designed that too. Although Evan is the master of the mouse, he sure knows how to shred. You'll find him with a handlebar mustache racing DH, SD and MX, and meandering around the event. Nice hair, Evan!

TIMING/SCORING

Cath and John Jett of CJ Sports Timing are our seasoned timers. Without them, we'd be riding our bikes really fast for no reason. Their impeccable attention to detail and state-of-the-art timing and scoring technology ensures that the MSC is always right on the money. You'll find them at the start / finish line and at their trailer plugging it all together.

RESULTS/RANKINGS

If you have questions about results and rankings, please get in touch with one of the MSC staff (Keith, Kim, or Grace) at the event, or shoot us an email afterwards. They'll be able to take care of you right away, and then Cath and John will be able to keep the races going.
