NEW COURSE FOR 2009! We've eliminated the Powerline Climb, so get ready to rip!

LONG LOOP

The new start/finish is located in the new Base Village.  Riders will head up the Dawdler Work Road to the water plant and intersect the Village Bound trail (just like last year)  This single track will take riders to the K.A.R and then intersect the Thorton Work Road.  Riders continue up this road to the Ullrhof Restaurant where they will pick up the Cross Mtn Tail.  Take the Cross Mtn Trail to Govt Trail East.  Then go left down Anaerobic Nightmare.   Riders then go left on the Tom Blake Trail and take it to Faraway Road.  Turn left of the paved Faraway Road for 100yds then go right on Tom Blake Trail.  Continue to Funnel hill down to the finish. Approx 11.9 miles. GPS stats and exact mileage coming soon.

SHORT LOOP

Same as Long loop until Cross Mtn meets Govt Trail East.  Instead of taking Govt Trail East, riders will head down Powerline and take a left on Tom Blake at the bottom of the Powerline DH.  Regroup on the Long loop and follow it to the finish.

SUNDAY AUGUST 9 DH

Open to all categories, the new "Pro DH" offers a brand new start and finish, several new and reowrked sections plus 600+ more feet of vertical. The Dirt "Chunnel" has been filled in and is no longer an iissue on the Village Express Pro DH. Riders will access the course via the Snowmass Express 6-Pack which is located at the bottom of Fanny Hill towards the new base area. The Burlingame Lift will be closed ALL WEEKEND (the chair directly below the stage...4X'ers take note!) And once again, miss your start, miss your race. This new policy is really helping us nail results and we thank all of you for your cooperation in getting to your start on time.

Dale's Pale Ale CLUNKER CRIT

A two-wheeled free-for all. Open to all walks of biking life...so to speak. If 6 DH'ers show up with their rigs we'll make a DH category and line 'em up. Townie category? Yup. SS? Yup. Frankenbike? You betcha. 4X'ers? Oh boy. We'll take all comers and categorize them appropriately. WARNING: Participants in Dale's Pale Ale may encounter beer, marshmallows, silly string, hot-dogs, good-natured heckling, watermelon, large comical hammers, Speedos, afro wigs and any number of other childish/amusing items. By no means is this meant to be a comprehensive list. Helmets are required.
