The best solution would be to run multiple laps on the short course only for all categories, but then we don't get to give you guys the Gov't Trail section. There are a few compromises in there, but we've been able to come up with distances that are probably a bit better tuned in that last year, plus we've added an extra wave for the Pros. Hopefully that'll alleviate some crowding out there. The start and finish will be at the BOTTOM of Fanny Hill this year, right next to the stage. Depending upon the weather we may get a third water station out there as well. On another note, we've removed a huge section of the climb out of the start area previously on the Dawdler Work Road and replaced it with a partly shaded singletrack climb. There will be two aid stations on course. The first will be on the road just above the 4X start, the second will be at the Ullrhauf building at the long loop/short loop intersection. | CATEGORY | Start Time | 2008 Course | Distance/Gain | | Jr Sport Men | 8:00 | 1 long | 12 miles/2300' | | Sport Women - ALL | 8:02 | 1 long | 12 miles/2300' | | Beg Men 19+ | 8:04 | 1 long | 12 miles/2300' | | Beg Women 19+ | 8:06 | 1 short | 7 miles/1400' | | Jr Beg Men 15-18 | 8:08 | 1 short | 7 miles/1400' | | Jr Sp/JR Beg Wmn | 8:10 | 1 short | 7 miles/1400' | | Jr Beg Men 14 & Und | 8:12 | 1 short | 7 miles/1400' | | | | | | | Expert Wmn - ALL | 9:30 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Sport Men 19-29 | 9:33 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Sport Men 30-34 | 9:36 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Sport Men 34-39 | 9:39 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Singlespeed & JR X Wmn | 9:42 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Clydesdale Men | 9:45 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Sport Men 40-49 | 9:48 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Sport Men 50+ | 9:51 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | | | | | | Pro Men | 12:00 | 2 long | 24 miles/4600' | | Semi-Pro | 12:03 | 2 long | 24 miles/4600' | | Pro Women | 12:06 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Junior X Men | 12:09 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Expert Men 19-29 | 12:12 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Expert Men 30-34 | 12:15 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Expert Men 35-39 | 12:18 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Singlespeed Men | 12:21 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Expert Men 40-49 | 12:24 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' | | Expert Men 50+ | 12:27 | 1 long, 1 short | 19 miles/3700' |

Only racers (SD and DH) and coaches will be allowed on the chair - you need a number plate and lift ticket to ride...THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. Learn it, love it, live it. Amen. There will be no bike traffic allowed on the Burlingame Chair on Saturday (the chair directly below the stage...4X'ers take note!) And once again, miss your start, miss your race. This new policy is really helping us nail results and we thank all of you for your cooperation in getting to your start on time. LIFT TICKETSWe'll offer a weekend-long pass for just $30. These will be available at registration beginning Friday AM. They are good only for the 6-pack. If you want to ride the Burlingame (TRS, FRI, SUN only) lift you'll need an additional ticket. DALE'S PALE ALE CLUNKER CRITA two-wheeled free-for all. Open to all walks of biking life...so to speak. If 6 DH'ers show up with their rigs we'll make a DH category and line 'em up. Townie category? Yup. SS? Yup. Frankenbike? You betcha. 4X'ers? Oh boy. We'll take all comers and categorize them appropriately. WARNING: Participants in Dale's Pale Ale may encounter beer, marshmallows, silly string, hot-dogs, good-natured heckling, watermelon, large comical hammers, Speedos, afro wigs and any number of other childish/amusing items. By no means is this meant to be a comprehensive list. Helmets are required. THE TITEC SUPER-DLong. Strong. And I'ma 'bout to get my friction on. Just kidding. It's on Sunday morning. At hangover-thirty. And if you don't race all your friends will think that you're weak. Your mom and dad will be so disappointed in you. Super-D riders will use the Village Express Chair, then follow the signage from the top of the chair to the start. The Super-D finish is the same as the DH finish. WAIVERSIf you're a kid who wants to race, but your parents won't be on-site please fill out this one: BFP WAIVER and this one: USAC WAIVER.
