REGISTRATION

PRE-REGISTRATION INFO: download the Chalk Creek Stampede Registration Form.  Forms mailed in must be postmarked by Saturday, April 25. Forms faxed or emailed in must be received by Wednesday, April 29. You can also call in your registration to 720-407-6142 no later than Wednesday, April 29.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION: If you don't pre-register online or mail/fax in a form, you can still register on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. $15 on-site registration fee applies to registration on Friday and a $20 registration fee applies to registration on Saturday/Sunday. Registration/check-in for your wave will close one hour prior to it's designated start time. This includes pre-registered riders. No exceptions.

RACE ENTRY TRANSFER POLICY

If you happen to break your collar bone the week before the race, sprain a thumb, or if any other unforeseen circumstance suddenly arises, never fear, the MSC crew won't let you down! We're here to help get you back to racing! Shuttles from the front gate will be provided for bags and spectators, in addition all traffic, bicycle or otherwise, will follow the new prescribed route to the race venue. All team trailers must be to the race venue no later than 7 a.m. on Saturday.

LODGING

Mount Princeton Hot Springs is located just up the road from the event site. Bring your NORBA license and get 10 percent off your room. Includes the use of geothermal hot springs. CAMPING

Chalk Creek Campground & RV Park in Nathrop has discounted rates in their group tent area: $7.00 per person per night plus tax, with a NORBA license. FRIDAY MAY 1 - Practice Schedule

All courses open for practice from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. You must be registered and have a number on your bike in order to be on any of the courses - all courses, XC, Dual slalom and both Mountain Cross courses open for practice. 

SATURDAY MAY 2 - XC presented by   Shimano

This 7-mile loop is a mix of double track and buttery, smooth single track. Be prepared for windy conditions, an occasional cactus and a bovine dropping now and then. Get your map here! Awards will be conducted after the last rider arrives and the protest period.

SATURDAY MAY 2 - Mountain Cross presented by   Fox Racing Shox

This course is fast and smooth, with great berms and fun obstacles. A friendly course for beginners through pros.

10:30am CAT 2/3 seeding with racing to follow

 Pro/CAT 1 practice on Extra Crispy until CAT 2/3 racing conclude

* There will be a short riders meeting before finals
* All Riders must check brackets as soon as they are posted to make sure you are in the brackets!!!!!

SUNDAY MAY 3 - STXC presented by Dale's Pale Ale

This course is fast, furious and technical, with sharp corners and parts of the 4X course integrated in.

* Special note: Dual slalom takes a lot longer than Mountain cross so please be ready to race when your category is called.
* All riders must check the brackets as soon as posted to make sure you are in the brackets!
* Because Slalom takes so much longer than 4X all riders need to be at the start gate when called 2 minutes warning will be up held

AWARDS

Cross Country awards will take place within in two hours of the last finisher of you respective start wave, at the start/finish area.

Mountain Cross and Dual Slalom awards will be at the conclusion of the days racing, at the 4X/DS venue. All riders must be present to receive awards and cash purses for all MSC events. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made so, plan you trip home accordingly.

HOW TO GET HERE

Nathrop is located in central Colorado, 7 miles south of Buena Vista and 17 miles north of Salida – right in between Salida and Buena Vista. From Denver take 285 south for 1.5 hours to Johnson Village, follow 285 south for approximately 5 miles, look for event signage on the west side of Highway 285 in Nathrop near the General Store/Post Office.

PARKING

There is limited parking near the course. We will be able to park about 75 to 100 cars near the venue. Parking pass is required for parking on-site at the venue.

If you have a team trailer and want to have it up at the venue, it must be in by Friday evening. If you absolutely can't make it in by Friday, then you will need to have it in no later than 6:45 a.m. on Saturday morning.
