- We'll be racing on the course represented in solid red and following the red arrows indicates on the maps in a clockwise direction. The actual course markings will be white signs with black arrows. The course is approximately 4.6 miles long.
- All riders will have a set start time. This will be posted by the registration by the time trial no later than 30 minutes prior to your start wave.
- If for some reason your name is not on the start list, don't worry. Refer to the category start times listed here and plan on getting started with your group. Our registration and timing folks will track your data down and get you started with your group.
- We estimate that the TT's going to take between 15-45 minues (ability-dependent).

SUNDAY, APRIL 25: CROSS COUNTRY

 BLM Map

XC MAP & ELEVATION PROFILE:

CAT 3 and JR 14 & Under

Junior 14 & Under, CAT 3 Men and Women will depart from parking lots, head out on the Kokopelli Trail and do a small loop and return on Trail 2. The small loop departs from the Kokopelli Trail .8 miles south of MacDonald Creek and head southeast for .6 miles. Riders will stay right at the fork and travel 1.5 miles back to the Kokopelli Trail where they will cross over to Trail 2 for the return trip. Trail 2 will intersect back with the Kokopelli Trail at various points on the return trip. The Junior 14 & Under riders will complete one loop at the lollipop and CAT3 riders will complete two loops before returning on Trail 2 to the Start/Finish.

CAT 2, CAT 1 15-18, CAT 1 Men 50+

CAT 2, CAT 1 15-18, and CAT 1 Men 50+ will depart from the Start/Finish on the Kokopelli Trail and ride the Western Rim loop counterclockwise and return on the Kokopelli Trail back to the second turn-off onto Trail 2. NOTE: This map shows return on Trail 2 right when you come off of the Western Rim. You will stay right to return on the Kokopelli Trial and take a left onto Trail 2 about 1.5 miles up the Kokopelli Trail to join in with Trail 2 (this is after the Utah/Colorado border on the map). Trail 2 will intersect back with the Kokopelli Trail at various points on the return trip. Approximately 18 miles.

CAT 1, Singlespeed, Pro

CAT 1 19-29, 39-39, 40+ (Women) 40-49 (Men), Singlespeed and Pro will depart from the Start/Finish on the Kokopelli Trail and follow the trail to the Westwater Mesa Trail. When you get to the first intersection with the Western Rim Trail stay on the Kokopelli Trail (road). At the second intersection stay right onto Westwater Mesa Trail- this will be a doubletrack road. The Westerwater Mesa Trail has several steep sections before a road section. Follow that up onto the mesa where there is fun and challenging singletrack for another 4-5 miles. At this point you will drop off the Mesa and reconnect with the Kokopelli Trail. At the intersection where you turned right onto the Westerwater Mesa in the beginning of the race, you will now cross over the Kokopelli Trail onto the Western Rim Trail to ride the southeast section of the Western Rim. Ride the Western Rim until you rejoin with the Kokopelli Trail. Approximately 31 miles.

We had a rider GPS the course the other weekend. Rabbit Valley Rally Cross Country- CAT 1/Pro/Singlespeed. This is an approximation and is subject to change. Make sure to follow all course markings while on course for pre-riding and race day.

What you need to know about the Cross Country:

- Start/Finish tower and timing structure will be located on the Kokopelli trail where Trail 2 starts. All XC courses will utilize the same Start/Finish tower structure.
- Courses will be marked by a 1x1 foot white signs with black arrows. These signs are attached to standard 1'x2'' wooden stakes which are inserted into the soil and removed upon completion of the race race. Additional course direction will be communicated with course tape, soft fencing and/or marshals.
