Come discover what real Crested Butte singletrack is about at the 9th Annual Wildflower Rush Cross Country (XC) and Downhill (DH) Races . The race features a new cross-country course, Saturday June 20 on the Butte’s legendary web of winding single track, climbing 1800 feet per lap. On Sunday, June 21, the Wildflower Rush is excited to welcome back the Crested Butte Downhill (DH) and the new Wildflower Super-D (SD). The exciting Downhill course will include steep single-track, fast roads, open ski runs and "techy" wooded sections, while the Super-D will use a variety of challenging terrain with a Lemans style start and finishing through the Cross Country start. 

REGISTRATION

ON-SITE REGISTRATION: If you don't pre-register online or mail/fax in a form, you can still register on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. $15 on-site registration fee applies to registration on Friday and a $20 registration fee applies to registration on Saturday/Sunday. Registration/check-in for your wave will close one hour prior to it's designated start time. This includes pre-registered riders. No exceptions.

RACE ENTRY TRANSFER POLICY

If you happen to break your collar bone the week before the race, sprain a thumb, or if any other unforeseen circumstance suddenly arises, never fear, the MSC crew won't let you down! We're here to help get you back to racing! CAMPING

Paid camping is available onsite at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Overnight camping is only available in the lot north of the Grand Lodge Parking lot. Camping is only allowed Thursday June 18 through Saturday night June 21.  Camping is on a first come, first serve basis. Permits are good Thursday through Saturday night and cost $20 per vehicle.

SATURDAY JUNE 20  ShimanoKIDS RACE

A free Shimano Kids Race will be presented for those 10 and under at the Cross Country start/finish area. Classes will be determined based on the number of participants. All kids will receive a medal and t-shirt. Kids must be accompanied by a parent and can register at the race site. All participants must wear helmets. Schedule is subject to change.

SUNDAY JUNE 21 DH

The Downhill event will take place Sunday, June 21. Riders will use the Silver Queen Lift to get to the top of the course. Downhill chairlift access will begin 15 minutes before the scheduled beginning of practice and end 15 minutes before the scheduled end of practice. Daily lift tickets and number plates on the bike are required to practice. Practice lift tickets are $10/day, race day lift tickets are included in your registration.

SUNDAY JUNE 21 SD presented by  Maverick

The Wildflower Rush Super-D will offer the best of Downhill and Cross Country events. The course will be fast and will offer a variety of challenging terrain using a Lemans Style start and finishing through the Cross Country start. Practice lift tickets are $10/day, race day lift tickets are included in your registration.

DALE'S PALE ALE CLUNKER CRITS

We've got classes for DH rigs, new townies, ol townies, frankenbikes - you name it, whoever shows up we'll get you racing with your sick and twisted brethren. Bring your bike, a healthy thirst and an appetite for destruction.

AWARDS:

Results and preliminary results will be posted on the deck at the awards venue immediately upon completion. XC awards will be 30 minutes after the results are posted for each start wave. All MX awards will take place following Pro and CAT 1 finals.Super-D awards will take place immediately after the event. DH Awards will take place after the completion of the Pro DH Finals.You must be present at the awards ceremony to receive your award or cash purse. All riders must be present to receive awards and cash purses for all MSC events. NO EXCEPTIONS will be made so, plan you trip home accordingly.

From Denver:
Take I-70 west, exit to highway 470 west, highway 285 south to Fairplay then Poncha Springs, highway 50 west to Gunnison, then highway 135 north into Crested Butte.

From Colorado Springs:
Take highway 24 west, highway 285 south to Fairplay then Poncha Springs, highway 50 west to Gunnison, then highway 135 north into Crested Butte. From Grand Junction and Montrose
Take highway 50 east to Gunnison, then highway 135 north into Crested Butte. 

From New Mexico:
Take highway 285, take highway 160 west to Alamosa, highway 285 north to Saguache, highway 114 north to highway 50, highway 50 west to Gunnison, then highway 135 north into Crested Butte.
