This 7.38 mile loop is a mix of doubletrack and buttery, smooth singletrack. Be prepared for windy condition, an occasional cactus and a bovine dropping now and then. Check out the cross country course here! Includes distance, elevation and four different versions of maps to view it in! SUPER DCheck out the course here ! First off, we are really excited to have a super d at the Chalk Creek Stampede. It is going to be a fun event run on an individual start format. Yes that means SUPER D TIME TRIAL racing for the first time in the MSC. It is important that all riders realize the course starts out with a lot of SINGLE TRACK! (Which is the main reason we are running it on a time trial format.) Please be considerate when and if you are trying to pass in the first 2.2 miles of the course. If your 15 second person passes you, you should give the trial right away. That person has already put 15 seconds into you and is OBVIOUSLY FASTER THAN YOU! Give that person the chance to have the sweet racet they are having. On the other hand if you are the one doing the passing, please ask nicely to have the trail and you might be surprised by the result you get from the rider you are overtaking. Even though the course is only 3.8 miles long, it is still a bit on the challenging side. We think that the top times will be in the 12 to 15 minute mark depending on the wind that day. The last .9 mile is a very gradual uphill. The first 2.8 miles is fun singletrack that is about 95% on a descending path with three short quick power climbs. NOTE: All riders are required to ride to the start of the super d! It is 1.4 miles from the venue and takes between 13 and 17 minutes! The path to the super d will be marked with signage and green flagging tape. The course itself will be marked with signage and blue flagging tape.SUPER D START ORDEROpen Men *Specific start times will be posted Saturday mornign at registration and at the information kiosk. The first pro man goes off at 10:30 a.m. with all categories to follow in the order above. RACE PHOTOSWill be provided by our official photography partner, Vast Action Photography.
