Golden, Colo.- The conditions could not have been more pristine to set the fastest times ever on the cross country course at MSC#2, Chalk Creek Stampede. With the top talent in the country setting the pace, rain-packed and smooth trail conditions, and uncharacteristically calm winds, Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski (Subaru / Gary Fisher) broke away from the pack on the second lap to finish in 1:42:52, and win the race by almost two minutes. He also rode away with first in the short track and super d to take the overall crown title for the second stop on the H20 Overdrive Triple Crown All Mountain Series. |

Golden, Colo.- Bigfoot Productions unveiled the 2010 Mountain States Cup Schedule today, with three new venue additions including Keystone, Telluride and Winter Park, CO. The season will consist of nine weekends and 35 events across all disciplines including cross country, downhill, four cross, dual slalom, super d, short track, hill climbs and time trials. |

Bigfoot crew members teamed up with Maverick Sports to bring the 10th and final stop of the MSC race series, the Fall Classic, to Breckenridge, Colo. September 6-7. The top riders of the season contended for the last of the series’ points to come out on top. And at 10,000 feet, they did, on some of the toughest courses of the season. |

The Mountain States Cup returned to Snowmass Village August 9-10 for the first G3 format race of the season. The premise behind the G3 was to fill the void of quality gravity events in the U.S. and provide an event to get more groms on bikes and excited about racing. Nearly 150 racers showed up for the event, and 40 percent of the athletes were junior racers. |

The fifth stop on the Mountain States Cup landed in Snowmass Village, Colo. on July 11-13 and brought home many of the World Cup riders to compete in XC, DH, SD and MX. The heat was on for the event, and all riders felt it on some of the most difficult courses in the race series. |

The Mountain States Cup Championship Series headed to Crested Butte on June 20-22 for the 8th Annual Wildflower Rush. Although several of the top riders who frequent the MSC were in Italy competing at the UCI World Championships, riders rolled in from all corners of the region to contend for podium spots. Just three weeks prior postponement of the event had been seriously discussed as a monster winter had left the majority of the course covered in drifted snow. Three weeks of warm weather and lots of elbow grease and determination by the CB folks turned the trick however and riders were treated to some of the best course conditions in recent memory. |

Crested Butte Mountain Resort has pulled out all stops to ensure that the Wildflower Rush will follow the same legendary courses racers have come to expect. The Mountain Operations Team has completely cleared the snow from all singletrack sections using snowcats and shovels. In addition to clearing the trails, extensive work has been done to create water diversions to keep those sections of the course dry. |

Usually we try to get these event recaps out in the days immediately following the race. In the case of Angel Fire, we’re still trying to clear out the fumes. Like the courses themselves, Angel Fire’s a real mother. It’s hard on bikes, it’s hard on collarbones and ribs, it’s hard on egos, and it’s hard on the crew. |

Two gated races (on three courses), a cross-country and a short track. Sunburn, windburn, frostbite, dehydration. Some drunkenness. Short sleeves and puffies. Big dogs rolling in cow poop. The hitters came out. They rode hard. National Champions and World Champions made the trip. It was awesome. |
