Golden, Colo.- Bigfoot Productions has teamed up with Anthill Films to bring the most anticipated mountain bike movie of the year, "Follow Me" presented by Shimano, to the Mountain States Cup Season Kick-Off Party at Wahoo's Fish Tacos in downtown Denver on Friday, May 7th.

Golden, Colo.- Bigfoot Productions, along with Mountain Flyer Magazine and Devon Balet Photography will once again be hosting a season long photo contest as part of the Mountain States Cup 2009. We are excited to announce that Pinkbike.com will also be joining forces for our contest. So what's the deal you ask? Bust out your camera and start shooting! We want to see your best Mountain States Cup shots from this season.

The Mountain States Cup Championship Series headed to Crested Butte on June 20-22 for the 8th Annual Wildflower Rush. Although several of the top riders who frequent the MSC were in Italy competing at the UCI World Championships, riders rolled in from all corners of the region to contend for podium spots. Just three weeks prior postponement of the event had been seriously discussed as a monster winter had left the majority of the course covered in drifted snow. Three weeks of warm weather and lots of elbow grease and determination by the CB folks turned the trick however and riders were treated to some of the best course conditions in recent memory.

Usually we try to get these event recaps out in the days immediately following the race. In the case of Angel Fire, we’re still trying to clear out the fumes. Like the courses themselves, Angel Fire’s a real mother. It’s hard on bikes, it’s hard on collarbones and ribs, it’s hard on egos, and it’s hard on the crew.

The 20th Annual Chile Challenge, event #3 in the Mountain States Cup Championship Series is taking on a life of its own. Each year the event brings more and more riders and their support teams to Angel Fire, a testament to the warm welcome that they receive from the resort and community.

Two gated races (on three courses), a cross-country and a short track. Sunburn, windburn, frostbite, dehydration. Some drunkenness. Short sleeves and puffies. Big dogs rolling in cow poop. The hitters came out. They rode hard. National Champions and World Champions made the trip. It was awesome.

Chalk Creek. Nathrop. Byoonah-Veesta. The Bovine Triangle. Whatever you want to call it, the homestead of Keith and Taf Darner plays host to MSC#2 this weekend in Colorado’s High Country banana belt, and will be the second stop on the 2008 MSC tour.

With nearly 500 registrants for the cross country and nearly 270 for the off-road time trial, The Rabbit Valley Rally was the largest inaugural race the Mountain States Cup has seen yet.
