Golden, Colo.- Bigfoot Productions, along with Mountain Flyer Magazine and Devon Balet Photography will once again be hosting a season long photo contest as part of the Mountain States Cup 2009. We are excited to announce that Pinkbike.com will also be joining forces for our contest. So what's the deal you ask? Bust out your camera and start shooting! We want to see your best Mountain States Cup shots from this season.

The idea behind this contest is to see how all of you see our season of racing. Photography in Latin means writing with light. A single moment in time can be captured and frozen forever. To align all the light waves into a pattern that is pleasing to the eye. To take a millisecond of action and put it onto film, or now a days onto a digital sensor, is an amazing thing. To freeze a DH racer smashing down a course, or to capture the suffering in the face of a cross-country racer is something not short of spectacular. Photography allows us to hold onto a moment in time forever. Now it's time to see how good your writing with light really is!

We want to see your best downhill run, your best gate run in dual slalom, the toughest climb and the best pit kickin' fun.

There aren't many rules to this fun, and best of all, it is FREE! That's right, all you have to do is take photos, submit them into the contest via the MSC gallery on Pinkbike.com. Make sure to tag your photo with "MSC Photo Contest" and the race name, so we know that you want that photo entered into the contest. You may be the lucky winner to see your photo published online at Pinkbike.com and in print in Mountain Flyer Magazines if you're shot is good enough! We will be sure to have plenty of swag to go around, but sorry no cash prize. You aren't paying so we can't you. Get use to it buttercup- if you want to be a pro action photographer get use to eating ramen and tuna fish! Now get out there and start shooting. The Chile Challenge is less than five days away!
