The Mountain States Cup Championship series has grown over its 20-year history. It has become the premiere mountain bike series in the nation over the past five years, under the management of Bigfoot Productions, and in addition has become a valuable place to market to core consumers.

Sponsoring a well-developed series, rather than individual athletes or teams, provides companies with insulation from bad publicity. Instead of targeting consumers through others' images, you gain direct access with face-to-face interactions, opportunities to observe, survey, talk with and understand your customer in their environment.

The MSC takes place at the top mountain bike venues in the Rocky Mountain Region and consists of cross country (XC), short track (STXC), downhill (DH), mountain cross (4X), dual slalom (DS) and super d (SD) events. It is comprised of 32 mountain bike events over nine weekends during the summer of 2009.

The series includes two events that provide points for world classification under the Union de Cycliste International (UCI- the interntational governing body for Olympic cycling). The series also has nine events that provide points in the National Points series, so athletes and spectators come from all over the country, with the best in the world being attracted to UCI events.

The MSC helps facilitate opportunities for companies to promote their products in a supportive environment where customer choose to become regulars. Throughout the season they are exposed to branding, marketing and multiple messages, multiple times. Enhanced multimedia offerings stretch your marketing further with T.V., website, video and email blasts.
